Diss Organ Festival

Finding Diss

Diss is not as far as you think. There are good road connections. Plan your route with Google Maps.

Diss also has a main Railway Station. Go to the Train Line to book railway tickets to Diss (DIS) Station

There is also a planned Coach Trip from the South of England with several stops along the M4 and M25. Please contact Linda at Melody Tours for more.

Carparking

Carparking will be easy with 7 public Carparks dotted around Diss.

Also extra parking will be at Gazes Auction Rooms. Their large yard is easily accessed and it will be well signposted. Satnav Postcode to the Auction Rooms: IP22 4LN.

The Mere (circled) is the centre of the festival with organs also dotted around St Nicholas Street and Mere Street.

The town is nice and flat and there are hard standing paths everywhere, ideal for pushchairs and wheelchairs.


Whats On 'All Day' 10-5pm

  • 'Organ Trail' with 40 Organs in play 10-5pm
  • Vintage tractors and vehicles on the Park 10-5pm
  • Diss Museum has a display of the Diss Heritage of Mechanical Music 10-5pm
  • Display of Musical Boxes and Mechanical Music at the newly refurbished Diss Corn Hall 10-5pm

Whats On 'Special Events'

  • 3pm: Organ Recital of 'light and cheerful' music from organist David Ivory 3.00pm St. Marys Church.
  • 4:30pm: Buster Keaton Silent Movie with dramatic Theatre Organ Accompaniment presented by the Theatre Organ Club.
